1830:
Barzillai lived in Madison County, Georgia with his wife and two small sons. He had a male and female slave both under 10 years old. [census-Ga]

December 26, 1831:
Barzillai sold his land in Walton County, Georgia. [Darryl]

1840:
Barzillai lived in Madison County, Georgia with his wife, 3 sons and 4 daughters. His household included 7 slaves: a male 24-35, a male and 2 females 10-24 and 3 males under 10. [census-Ga]

December 4, 1849:
Barzillai sold 280 acres on Sandy Creek in Madison County, Georgia for $363. [Darryl]

January 5, 1850 (recorded January 18, 1853):

February 16, 1857:
Barzillai and E. F. Haney posted the $1000 bond to allow G. W. Smith to engage in the sale of "vinous and spiritous liquors." [AlC bond 1848-9:loose]

1859:
Barzillai was the Justice of Peace in Tishomingo County (now Alcorn County), Mississippi. [AlC deed book V]

1860:
Barzillai lived in Jacinto, Tishomingo County (now Alcorn County), Mississippi with his wife, a son and a daughter. He was a farmer and the value of his real property was $5,000 and personal property was $40,000. [census-Miss]

1864:
Barzillai paid $12.15 in state taxes based on 5 head of cattle, 12 slaves under 15 valued at $3000, 2 male slaves valued at $2000 and 2 female slaves valued at $1400. [AlC pers prop tax]

October 18, 1865 (recorded September 6, 1866):
Barzillai and his wife Milberry gave to their daughter Louisa Melissa the east half of the north west quarter of Section 24, Township 2, Range 7 East in Alcorn County, Mississippi. [AlC deed Z:153-4]

November 8, 1865 (recorded September 3, 1866):
Barzillai and his wife Milberry gave to their son John Daniel the west half of the north west quarter of Section 24, Township 2, Range 7 East in Alcorn County, Mississippi. [AlC deed Z:149-50]

December 13, 1865 (recorded February 23, 1874):
Barzillai bought the north ends of Lots 1 and 2, Block 86 in Corinth, Mississippi for $125. [AlC deed 4:5]

1870:
Barzillai was a farmer and lived in Alcorn County Mississippi with his wife and youngest daughter. Also living with them was 8 year old Molly, 5 year old Mauda and 4 year old Sallie. The value of his real property was $2,500 and personal property was $700. [census-Miss]

January 21, 1871 (recorded April 5, 1872):
Barzillai sold the west half of the south east quarter of Section 23, Township 2, Range 7 for $400. [AlC deed 1:250]

February 23, 1874 (recorded March 2, 1874):
Barzillai bought the north half of lots 1 and 2 in Block 86 of the town of Corinth for $25.00. [AlC deed 3:446-7]

1876:
Barzillai filed a claim for $4,766.50 to compensaste him for horses, mules, oxen, hogs, sheep, poultry, cotton, fencing, gin, produce and provisions taken by Union soldiers during the Civil War. His claim was disallowed. [NA claim 872]

July 10, 1876 (recorded July 11, 1876):
Barzillai for $400 bound to C. A. C. Renardett the north ends of Lots 1 and 2, Block 8 in Corinth, Mississippi. [AlC deed 5:429-30]
