Eugene sold the 2½ acres (Lot 1 west) on the west side of the railroad which was part of his mother's estate for #1,250. [RC deed 57:575]

January 20, 1916 (recorded January 31, 1916):
Eugene sold 1 gray mare (7 years old), 1 black horse (10 years old), 1 bay horse (5 years old), 1 bay horse (4 years old), 1 two horse wagon, 1 double seated buggy and 1 portable hay press for $54.65. [RC Tdeed PP:310]

Eugene leased the oil rights on his 195 acres for 5 years at $100/year plus 1/8 of all the oil found. [RC Tdeed QQ:66-7]

February 6, 1940 (probated July 29, 1940):
Eugene's will elft everything to his wife, Ada, and at her death to his five children. His son, Charles, and his wife were named as executors. [RC will 3:433]

August 13, 1953 (filed September 4, 1953):
The inventory of the estate of Ada, Eugene's widow, consisted of a house and lot at 412 N. Church, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, household furnishings, cash in the bank and a loan made to her son-in-law. Her daughter, Florence, and son, Charles, were co-administrators. [RC inv 3:178]
