Information:
1929: Bud, for $1 admission, attended the Barnstormers
Show at the Old Sky Harbor Airport in Murfreesboro, Tennessee where he took his
first flight in an airplane. He described the experience as "noisy and slow,
but it was a good old airplane. Its top speed was about 75 mph.

1930s: Bud assisted with the nightly weather flights.
The planes went up after midnight with weather instruments strapped to their

July 1, 1938: Bud went to work for Eastern Airlines and
three years later was promoted to station manager at Nashville's Berry Field

1942: Bud worked for Eastern Airlines and lived on
