Information:
Carl and his brothers attended school on East Holt
Blvd. in Pomona, California. [Erva]
1910: Carl owned his farm in Corral
Precinct, Blaine County, Idaho. [census-Idaho]
August 2, 1911: After the sudden death of
his wife Mandy, Carl wrote to his cousin Ethel (Mandy's sister) describing his
loneliness. His 4 year old step daughter, Idaho, had been taken to live with
Mandy's sister Pearl and he and baby Erva were alone. He had a good wheat crop
which he was going to harvest and then go back to California where his mother
could take care of the baby. 
April 22, 1912: Carl received his land
patent for a cash sale
of 160 acres in Camas County, Idaho from the Bureau
of Land Management. .
1912-1914: Carl lived on North Gordon in
Pomona, California with his family. [Erva]
June 15, 1917: According to Carl's World
War I Draft Registration Card he was farming near Princeton in Colusa County,
California. He was married with two children. He was tall and of medium build
with blue eyes and brown hair. 
1920: Carl and his family lived on
Princeton Road in Colusa County, California where he was a rice farmer

1922: Carl lived on the Truman Ranch with
his family. His brothers lived in adjoining homes. [Erva]
1928 to 1934: The three Vanderford
brothers, Otis (6003), who raised rice near Gridley,
Vint (6005), west of Yuba City and Carl (6002), in the Natomas District north of
Sacramento.were fascinated by airplanes. Why
not use them to seed rice?

1930: Carl was a fruit farmer and the
family lived in Rio Linda Village, Sacramento County, California.
