Information: 
During his school years, Harry walked one and a half miles to his
one room school house, where he completed eighth grade.
He worked on the farm until World War II, when he attended
Airplane Mechanic School in Omaha. He then built planes for the Curtis Wright
Airplane Corporation for four years.
After the war, Harry worked for Burlington Railroad for six years.
Then the Airplane Assemblies Division of Benson Manufacturing for eighteen
years before retiring at age 66.
Harry flew Piper Cubs in the 1940s and 1950s. He built his own
rotary wing dual-seat glider in his basement, and over a 29 year period he gave
207 rides in it - until he was 93.
