1762:
Lewis Bobo apprears on the list of taxables in Shocco District, Granville County. [Skelton]

May 7, 1770 and August 20, 1770:
The land plat for 700 acres was surveyed and delivered to Lewis. The 700 acres was in Berkeley County between the fork of Broad and Saluda Rivers and on a small branch called Woffords Branch of the Tyger River and bounded by Wofford Branch, Barnett Branch and land of Emanuel Stephens and by a vacant land. The tax return on this land was made by William Gist in Charlest for Lewis. The number of acres would equal Lewis, his wife and 11 dependents. [Skelton]

1772:
Lewis land grant in Union County, South Carolina was bounded by the Tyger River on the north and encompassed 300 acres. [Wilson]

December 23, 1786:
Lewis' claim for supplies and for the lost horse was approved and paid for with indents (6 pounds, 14 shillings, 3 1/2 pence). [Wilson]

1787:
Lewis bought 200acres on Tyger River in Spartanbug. [Skelton]

1788:
Lewis sold 287.5 acres on the waters of Shoulderbone of Richland Creek in Wilkes County, North Carolina for 125 pounds. [Skelton]

1790-1800:
Lewis and Sarah lived in Union District, South Carolina. In 1790 they had two slaves. [census-SC]

1795:
Lewis gave his son Kindred a parcel on the South end of his property as a wedding present. The house built by Kindred is still standing and known as the Murphy-Bobo House. [Wilson]

Written June 14, 1805, witnessed May 10, 1806, recorded March 7, 1808:
Lewis left his estate to his wife Sarah and at her death or remarriage for it to be sold and dispersed to his children. [BookA:Page234]

1994:
About 100 yards North of the Murphy-Bobo House is what remains of a burial ground of considerable age. Several Bobo cousins visited the area and, after some digging, came to the conclusion that this was indeed a cemetery and determined that there were about 20 burial plots. It is presumed that Lewis is buried here. [Wilson]
