According to Hivley's World War I Draft Registration Card he was married and farming Gridley, Butte County, California. He was of medium height and build with brown eyes and brown hair.

1920:
Hilvey, Elizabeth and the two young boys were farming on Larkin Road in Gridley, Butte County, California.

1930:
Hilvey, Elizabeth and the boys were fruit farmers on Manzanita Road in Gridley, Butte County, California. Elizabeth's mother Charlatte was living with them and they lived next door to her brother Joseph.

September 30 to October 7, 1935:
Elizabeth sailed with her brother Joseph and his wife on the SS President Lincoln from San Francisco, California to New York City, New York.
