According to John's World War I Draft Registration Card he was a farmer and living with his wife Mabel at 1005 Ferger, Fresno, Fresno County, California. He was medium height and stout build with grey eyes and dark brown hair.

1920:
John was a Real Estate salesman. He and Mable were living at 684 Coast Avenue, Fresno, California. [census-CA]

1930:
John was farming north of Dutch Slough in Contra Costa County. He had remarried and his step son Everard Alfonse Bonetti (b. June 18, 1915, d. December 14, 1992 [CAdeath]) was living with them. [census-CA]
