January 13, 1633: "I John BOND of the Isle
of Wight County in Virginia hath bargained sould & delivered unto Thomas
HARRIS of the aforesaid County, One Cornemill standing att the head of the
Pagan Creek in the same County of the Isle of Wight as shee now goeth with all
such materialls as thereunto belongeth, with free priveledge to take what
Timber the said HARRIS shall have occasion for to use for the necessary repair
of the said Mill work or ffloodgates with free passage to & from the said
Mill soe as not any damage or hindreance." Isle of Wight Co., VA, Record of

August 14, 1652: Thomas received a grant of
40 acres in Isle of Wight County, Virginia at the head of one of the branches
of Pagan Creek bounding his own land. [Larkin]
March 2, 1658 renewed march 18,
1662: Thomas received 1,000 acres in Isle of Wight County, Virginia upon
a swamp running into the westerly branch of Nansemond River including two
Indian fields for transporting 20 persons. [Larkin]
March 18, 1662: Thomas received 600 acres
in Lancaster County, Virginia bounding northeast upon a branch of Corotoman
River. [Larkin]
November 1, 1667: Thomas sold the mill he
bought in 1633 to Charles Driver. Isle of Wight Co., VA, Record of Wills,

May 1, 1668, recorded May 3, 1668: "I
Thomas HARRIS Planter in the Isle of Wight Planter doe Constitute Ordeyn
appoint and Authorize my well beloved Wife Alice HARRIS my true and Lawfull

March 30, 1672 recorded June 10,
1672 Thomas left the land they lived on to his younger sons Thomas and
John, the land at the Indian Towns to his older son Thomas and on the land in
Corotoman River, County of Lancaster to his older son John.
