Information:

The Jones family left Jones Ferry (10 to 12 miles from the present Jonesville), Union County, South Carolina and moved to Bedford County, Tennessee, then Pike County, Arkansas and Corinth, Howard County, Arkansas. [elton]

June 30, 1842:
When Charles died, Rebecca had been granted her dower rights. However, now that many of her children were planing on moving west she desired to go with them and disposing of her existing property. The land could not be divided on account of its size and number of heirs who owned it as tenants in common. So, the children filed suit which forced the land to be sold. It was sold August 1, 1842 and consisted of an 80 acre and a 100 acre tracts. [elton]

Rebecca was living with her daughter Eliza Jane Reese in Brewer Township, Pike County, Arkansas. [census-Ark]
