Information:

1810 - 1830:
Turner was living in Granville County, North Carolina. In 1920 he owned 8 slaves: Two males (one 16-26, the other a boy) and six females (one older than 45, one 26-45, two 14-26 and two children). [census-NC]

1840-1850:
Sarah moved to Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina. in 1850 her widowed daughter Margaret Driver and her two sons Mathew (14) and Marcillas (7) were living with her. [census-NC] Turner had gone to Texas with his sons.

September 26, 1853:
Turner's son Samuel applied to the Robertson County Courts to administer his father's estate. Turner had an unconditional certificate for 640 acres of land: 320 acres of said land located on Steels Creek in Limestone County and 320 acres in Robertson County worth about $.50 per acre. [OWT]
