Duane grew up on a farm in Biggs, Butte County, California. [Duane]

December 1959 - Januarly 1963:
Duane was in the Navy and really did travel all over the world. He took part in the Cuban Missile Blockade in 1962. [Duane]

Duane is a butcher and had a Butcher Shop in Gridley, Butte County, California. Much of his work was for hunters and he was well known for his jerky. He retired in 1998 from Safeway Stores and spends most of his summers in the Sierra's at Bucks Lake fishing. He also enjoys fishing the Feather River and the Sacramento River.

Duane still makes an occasional custom designed fishing pole for friends and old customers. He has customers all over the world, including Alaska, Hawaii, and Australia.
