1847:
Sloman and Eliza moved to Arkansas and settled three miles west of Corinth, Arkansas on the old Military Road. He moved in 1860 to north Arkansas but moved back one year later and bought a farm about one and a half miles south of his firstplace. He lived there until 1870, when he sold and moved two miles east of Corinth and bought a larger and better place where he finished raising his family. [Reese]

1850:
The family was farming in Brewer Township, Pike County, Arkansas. Eliza's mother Rebecca was living with them. [census-Ark]

May 1, 1856:
Sloman received his land patent for a cash sale of 80 acres in Howard County, Arkansas from the Bureau of Land Management. .
