In Robert's pension record he was describes as 5 foot

Information:
February 6, 1815: Robert enlisted in
Jonesville, Virginia in Captain Skelton's Company in Col. McFarlaine's Regiment
of the Virginia Militia. His pay was $20 a month and he was alloed 4 days to
travel 80 miles. [Arnold-doc]
March 12, 1815: Robert was discharged at
Seven Mile Ford in Washington County, Virginia. [Arnold-doc]
1850: Robert was farming in Scott County,
Virginia. His mother Ruth was living with him. [census-VA]
April 5, 1853: Capt. Robert Speer submitted
the return for his company of the 124th Regiment of Infantry.
