1795:
William moved his family from Dobbs County, North Carolia to Hancock County, George where he received a land grant for his service in the Revolutionary War. [Beaman]

Around 1820:
William moved his family from Georgia to Mississippi. [Beaman]

December 29, 1823:
William gave his daughter Lydia a Negro woman named Clary, her boy Henry and their increase. [Beaman]

April 22, 1828
William bequeathed the following gifts to his children:
1. Green: a Negro man named Sam
2. Asa: a yoke of oxen named "Negro" and Dan". Also all the plantation and farming utensils at his death. The use of the plantations slaves until his death. A Negro boy named Amos.
3. Nancy, wife of Asa: all the beds, bedding and house furniture at his death
4. Grandson Commellus: a Negro girl named Mary to do as he pleased except her first born was to begiven to Marcellus [Beaman]
